ICN is pleased to announce a further upgrade of its SQUID software. ICN SQUID 3.2 goes live today and features further enhancements to the ‘input’ and ‘process’ elements of its digital marketing effectiveness measurement tool, the capability to work directly with Shopify websites for sales attribution analysis and new features for cyber security.
ICN SQUID deploys the ‘IPO’ methodology of ‘Input – Process – Output’, constantly looking at ways to improve identifying the source of marketing and sales leads, plus the methodology applied to enhance the quality and accuracy of the logic utilised in that identification process, to help organisations have much more confidence in understanding where their leads and sales are coming from, so they can base marketing decision making accordingly.
After moving to the Markov attribution methodology on a linear basis with the 3.0 release last July, and then enhancing the sophistication of that to a ‘time decay’ methodology in the 3.1 release last October, 3.2 sees two further enhancements incorporated to the live environment.
Linear attribution information has been applied to all individual pages to offer more specific data point analysis, and greater granularity and accuracy to source data inputs.
Meanwhile, the AI algorithm has been trained to identify and use independent data sources, such as GA4, as the primary and verifiable data source whenever available. However, the smart part here is that that independently identifiable data source is being combined with both the Markov attribution based and time decayed AI algorithm to ensure that the data source identified is the ‘original’ touch point, the original data source, not merely the ‘last’ data source.
The 3.2 release also offers sales attribution reporting and analysis for the first time, working with the Shopify API. This means websites using the Shopify sales platform can now use the SQUID plugin, and take advantage of the Markov driven attribution methodology to be able to understand exactly where a sale originated from in terms of their marketing activity.
More Cyber Security tools are also released as part of ICN SQUID 3.2. Web Host Manager (WHM) snapshots and manual WordPress (WP) Toolkit back-ups have been incorporated as standard with reporting/tracking included accordingly. Simple Script auto-checking against malicious process and commands running on-server is also now a standard feature.
ICN SQUID continues to be available for free to all ICN Media’s clients so all of these enhancements above are included as part of ICN’s regular client offering.
